Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz visited Betar Illit on Thursday, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Education R’ Meir Porush.

As was reported by YWN-Israel on Wednesday, the minister’s visit was planned in advance, as he seeks to continue construction in the city, aware of the critical housing shortage.

Katz approved the construction of a bridge between areas A and B in Betar, and was presented with the logistical realities faced by residents, asked to look into a new road from the community to Yerushalayim.
