Israel Innovation Authority Leaders Hold Meetings In California


1What’s happening in Israeli hi-tech? Why was the Israel Innovation Authority established? How do we reverse the brain drain from Israel to the Silicon Valley? These issues and others will be addressed in a meeting today, Rosh Chodesh Sivan, at the JCC in Palo Alto, California.

The goal of the meeting is to strengthen ties with Israeli industrialists, academics and entrepreneurs residing in the Silicon Valley area, to update them on what is happening in Israel’s industry and hi-tech, to tell them about the establishment of the new Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) and to hear about the issues important to the Israeli industrialists and academics living abroad, in an effort to create stronger ties.

The meeting will be attended by Mr. Avi Hasson, Chairman of the Israel Innovation Authority, Ms. Anya Eldan, director of the Startup Arena in the IIA, Dr. Nurit Eyal, Director of the program to return academics in the IIA and Mr. Yisrael Shamai, Manager of America programs in the IIA.

The Israel Innovation Authority was established to be a dynamic, active agency, and its directors will discuss the new initiatives and plans developed for Israel’s hi-tech sector, to support early-stage startups, to encourage the development of large companies and more.

Chairman of the Israel Innovation Authority, Avi Hasson, will be discussing the establishment of the new authority and its activities to support startups and Israeli hi-tech in general. Dr. Nurit Eyal will speak about the program’s initiative to return academics to Israel and about the new support tools developed over the last year in an effort to provide better, faster solutions regarding the needs of returning academics and their families and about the government’s activities supporting human resources for Israel’s innovation industry.
