Bennett Attacks PM Netanyahu Again – This Time For Supporting The Land Of Israel In Hebrew And Palestine In English

bibeBayit Yehudi party leader Education Minister Naftali Bennett appears to have his role confused with that of a member of the Knesset opposition. He busies himself with alerting the media on a daily basis with attacks against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the coalition’s policies, a coalition he and his party are a part of.

In his latest attack, Bennett criticized PM Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman for expressing support for the two-state solution, the creation of the State of Palestine alongside Israel.

In his remarks on Sunday night the eve of 29 Iyar, addressing the Yeshivat Merkaz HaRav Yom Yerushalayim event, Bennett stated “Chas v’sholom that Israel or Yerushalayim would be divided, which would be the result of the two-state solution…” He accuses Netanyahu and Lieberman of trying to appease the international community, adding “my response to them is never!”

He added “we cannot support the land of Israel [when speaking] in Hebrew and establish a Palestinian state [when speaking] in English”.

Likud party officials have made it clear, that Bennett is welcome to remain in the coalition but unfortunately, his actions seem to indicate he is looking for a way to leave and join the opposition.

  1. Bennett is right – no one has the right to relinquish even an inch of our holy land, and yes, he is in the coalition, but the Israeli society and the Likud (both the electorate and the MKs) openly oppose the creation of an Arab state in Israel and the partition of the land. It is Bibi and Liebermann who are at odds with their own parties.
