There are reports that talks are continuing between opposition party leader Yitzchak Herzog and coalition officials. According to one report, Herzog is seriously wiling to enter the coalition with his 24-seat party if Bayit Yehudi is ousted. Kol Chai Radio reported on Sunday morning 28 Iyar that not only is the latter true, but Machane Tzioni MK Shelly Yacimovich, who was against Herzog entering the coalition, may back the move if it includes getting rid of Naftali Bennet and his party.
Yacimovich is quoted saying that if PM Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman leader a genuine diplomatic process towards reaching agreement with the PA (Palestinian Authority), she would consider joining such a coalition.
While it has only been days since the resolution of his last threat to break from the coalition, Naftali Bennett has already announced his latest ultimatum, telling the media if negotiations resume with the PA, his party will break from the coalition, opening the door for ousting his party from the coalition.
