The entire University of California, Los Angeles, campus has been placed on lockdown after an alleged shooting on Wednesday morning.
A university-wide alert system for parents and students sent out a warning to students over Twitter at 9:58 a.m. local time.
The campus was placed on lockdown just after 10 a.m., as police searched for the gunman, according to the university.
People are being asked to shelter in place in an engineering building on the campus, the university said.
Helicopter news footage showed students walking out in a line with their hands above their head, as armed police officers scoured the campus.
According to the Daily Bruin, the shooter was wearing a black jacket and black pants.
Aerial video from Sky5 shows several ambulances and fire trucks on the campus as UCLA police and LAPD continue to search for a possible shooter. SWAT were also seen running on the campus. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is also responding to the campus.

Anti-Semitism?
Moshe,
What are you talking about????
Well you can expect anti-Semitism in almost every single university campus in the States. Now mainly perpetrated by faculty and alumni. My theory here will be soft target.
