Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is simply fed up with leaks to the press, calling to compel members of the cabinet to take a polygraph exam do determine who leaked details of the weekly security cabinet meeting to Haaretz.
The sensitive issue addressed a possible Israeli retreat from the northern border village of Ghajar, which is currently under dual sovereignty, divided between Israel and Lebanon.
The classified meeting was not intended for the media, but Haaretz was all too happy to report on the talks in its Monday edition. The foreign minister has turned to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) Director Yuval Diskin to compel those ministers who were present for the meeting to submit to the polygraph exam, stating the media leaks must be halted once and for all.
