Defense Minister Ehud Barak sent a stern warning to Lebanese officials while visiting northern Israeli communities on Tuesday.

Barak stated the newly-formed Lebanese government of Sa’ad Hariri which includes Hizbullah ministers will be responsible for any deterioration in the security along Israel’s northern border as a result of “Hizbullah provocation”.

Responding to Lebanese remarks justifying the inclusion of Hizbullah in the government, the defense minister stated we do not accept that a government of a UN member nation includes an armed militia.
