Iranian officials, who first announced the uranium enrichment program was for research and educational purposes, now announced the nuclear program will provide power for hospitals.

Speaking with the weekly German Der Spiegel, a delegate from Iran to the International Atomic Energy, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, announced the nuclear energy will be used to power hospitals. He explained they are desperately working to manufacture isotopes for medical related purpose.

The announcement Iran’s latest rejection of terms put forward by the international community, terms that are desperately seeking to prevent having to abandon diplomatic efforts and sanctions and turn to a military solution. The six nations, namely he permanent UN Security Council members and Germany have issued another call to Tehran to export enriched uranium abroad, to delay construction of a nuclear device, a call that was rejected.
