A traffic policeman sustained moderate injuries during the night after being struck by a motorcycle. The driver was ordered to pull over for a routine inspection but ignored the policeman, striking him. The second policeman at the location managed to subdue the suspect and place him under arrest. The injured officer was transported to a local hospital.

Police report the driver’s license was suspended over eight years ago. He is being brought before a remand hearing on Thursday at which time police will request that he be held without bail.
