MK (Kadima) Shaul Mofaz has undoubtedly put his campaign for the head of Kadima and eventually reaching the premiership in high gear, announcing he is willing to meet with anyone willing to accept his master peace plan.

Last week, YWN-Israel reported Mofaz announced his master alternative peace plan. He is hoping to muster support for his initiative, seeking a prominent place in the international diplomatic arena.

Addressing the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya on Sunday, the former IDF chief of staff and defense minister stated that if Hamas gains control of PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous areas throughout Yehuda and Shomron, he will meet with the organization’s leaders. He explained that he will meet with any and all PA leaders who accept his master plan, adding he is willing to sit and negotiate with anyone, “Hamas of the representative of the devil because at the moment he accepts the basic tenets of the plan, he is not Hamas or the representative of the devil”.

While Mofaz agrees with a demand outlined by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, that Hamas recognize Israel’s right to exist, he does not make it a prerequisite to negotiating as does the prime minister.
