Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday 10 Iyar phoned Health Minister Yaakov Litzman to bring him up to date on ongoing negotiations to bring Avigdor Lieberman into the coalition government. Needless to say part of the conversation addressed the draft law, which Lieberman insists must be amended back to its original formal contrary to the wishes of the chareidim.
It will take Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s best political parleying to sell Lieberman’s entry into the government to Yahadut Hatorah and Shas since over the last year, Lieberman has been an outspoken anti-chareidi voice in the public arena.
Officials close to Lieberman report that Litzman welcomed his entry into the coalition as they were led to believe his entry will not compel a change in the coalition guidelines.

It might be wiser if the frum parties in the Kenesset focused on matters of survival (avoiding conscription and attempts to close down the yeshivos) rather than trying to get patronage. The best way to be left alone by a vicious dog is to be quiet and invisible as you can and not to draw attention to yourself.
#1 is right, this is shmad in the highest form.
