Two Israelis were killed in a one vehicle accident on Tuesday, 9 Iyar at about 16:30 on Highway A2 near the Swiss border. A mother and daughter, 50s and 20s respectively, were R”L killed in the accident traveling in their rented vehicle from Milano as they crossed the border into Switzerland. They were residents of Rishon L’Tzion.

The accident was in Zuinto, a village in Airolo, a municipality in the district of Leventina in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The Israel Consul General in Switzerland was notified and he made the necessary notifications to the Foreign Minister which assisted in reaching family members in Israel and bringing the bodies home for kvura.
