Jerusalem fire officials have closed an area on Moshe Dayan Boulevard in the northern city a short time ago. According to the limited information available, an unidentified substance spilled onto the street from a truck and emergency authorities received reports of people complaining of nausea and vomiting.
A hazmat response was ordered and hazardous materials technicians are working the scene at present. The area has been closed down and police have instructed area residents to remain indoors.
Moshe Dayan Blvd. is closed in Pisgat Ze’ev from Meir Gershon Street to Chaim Toran Street as hazmat technicians try to identify the substance.
