MK (Ichud HaLeumi) Dr. Michael Ben-Ari is planning to depart from Tel Aviv on Wednesday for the United States, but as of Tuesday morning, he has not received a visa from American consular officials in Israel.
According to the right-wing opposition MKs parliamentary aide, Itamar Ben-Gavir, the delay appears connected to the fact that Ben-Ari was arrested in protests opposing the Disengagement Plan in 2005.
Foreign Ministry officials indicate they are working to secure the MKs visa in time for his flight.
