The ISA announced that on Wednesday, 3 Iyar, agents working with IDF soldiers arrested two suspects involved in the Hizme Checkpoint bombing attack that left an IDF officer seriously wounded.
The ISA reports “significant progress” in the investigation into the attack and the actions of the two in custody. There is a gag order in place prohibiting publication of additional details of the ongoing investigation.
Hadassah Hospitals spokeswoman Hadar Elboim reports the condition of the wounded officer continues to improve. He is now listed in moderate/stable condition and is communicating with his surroundings.
On Sunday, 7 Iyar, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon visited the officer, accompanied by his commander and the officer’s mother. The senior minister spoke with the officer’s commander as well as members of his medical team.
