The infants who were admitted to Beersheva’s Soroka Medical Center with high fever, diarrhea and signs of aridity are Baruch Hashem recovering. At the time it was discovered all of the infants were from the same daycare center at a Negev area kibbutz,
The Health Ministry became involved and suspicions pointed to the kibbutz petting zoo as a possible cause. Simultaneously, kindergartens and daycare facilities in the kibbutz were shut down and quarantined pending the Health Ministry probe into the cause of the infection. B’chasdei Hashem, all of the children have already been discharged from the hospital and recovering at home.
