A man who has volunteered for MDA for 28 years, who resides in Dimona, was suspended from MDA after it was learned that he joined United Hatzolah. The volunteer in question has been the recipient of a Health Ministry award for his years of dedicated tireless service to the community.
The suspended MDA volunteer has filed a complaint against Magen David Adom with the Health Ministry as well as filing a complaint with the Office of the State Comptroller. The ongoing conflict between the two organizations appears to be escalating and MDA is using its legal status and the nation’s primary EMS provider to box U. Hatzolah into a corner.
U. Hatzolah on the other hand is using its political clout with the nation’s chareidi deputy health minister and other channels towards countering MDA’s policies and towards gaining legitimate legal status under the law without having to rely on MDA for licensing.
