A European security group chose a Jewish member of Britain’s Community Security Trust, Mike Whine (Director of government & international affairs at CST) to train police to prevent and treat hate crimes.
He will oversee training of police in OSCE member countries across Europe to monitor anti-Semitic, racist and other hate crimes.
Although the 56-nation security group has been in existence for two years, many countries have not yet implemented a police training program.
“The police will be taught how to recognize and monitor hate crime and then combat it,” Whine said.
