An IDF soldier was moderately injured after being shot this afternoon during an operation in Qabatiya. The forces were searching for wanted Palestinians in the West Bank town.

During the operation, a Hummer vehicle turned over. There were no injuries in the accident, but another force which arrived to assist in the rescue was caught into exchanges of fire.

An armed Palestinian fired from an ambush and managed to hit one of the soldiers, who suffered from a head injury.

The wounded soldier was rushed by helicopter to the Rambam Medical Center in Chaifa.
