The investigation into alleged illegal activities involving Aryeh Deri may be widening according to a Channel 10 News report. The report states the allegedly illegal activities involving the senior minister and his brother not only involve real estate, but other financial corruption offenses.

According to the report filed by correspondent Baruch Kra, the alleged law-breaking was carried out while he was serving as an elected public official.

Deri’s brother Shlomo was interrogated two weeks ago after Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit decided to move from a probe to a formal criminal investigation against the Deri brothers.

In public statements, Aryeh Deri expresses optimism and has stated he is hopeful that he will be cleared of all charges.
