US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be arriving in Israel on motzei shabbos, reportedly in the hope of jumpstarting the stalled diplomatic process between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority).
The senior American official will be working to bring the PA back to the negotiating table, as PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) continues to maintain his hard line position, insisting he will not return to a diplomatic process until such time Israel adheres to US demands for a total and unconditional halt to construction.
Israel on the other hand expresses a willingness to resume talks immediately, without preconditions.
Israel does not view the secretary’s visit as a significant step towards jumpstarting talks with the PA, and analysts believe the purpose of the visit is to lend a large measure of support and to boost Abu Mazen, whose popularity continues to wane.

Wow, what spin. The official news is that she’s coming to try to bring PA to the negotiation table. “Analysts” believe there’s more to it (and what analysts? Where’s a quote from one of them?), and so THAT becomes the new headline. At least be as credible as Fox News, and add a question mark to the end of every fake title.
