Ichud Hatzalah this week was called to the Armanot Chen wedding hall in Bnei Brak and responders quickly learned the patient was none other than the chosson, who sustained an arm injury when he fell while his well-wishers had him in the air. The EMS team explained to the chosson that the injury required transportation to a hospital.
Ichud Bnei Brak Commander Effie Feldman explains “When I learned of what occurred, I contacted the manager of Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital and arrangements were made in the emergency room to treat the chosson immediately upon arrival, without any delay. Feldman praised the hospital staff, explaining they were determined to treat the chosson and release him as expeditiously as possible. He was released with a cast after one hour to continue with his chasunah.
Ichud Bnei Brak Deputy Commander Yoni Martin added a number of ambucycle drivers got together and escorted the chosson back to the wedding hall and entered with him and were ‘mesamayach’ the chosson after the difficult and painful interlude in his chasunah.
A few days after the chasunah the young bridegroom called Ichud Hatzalah to thank the volunteers for their invaluable assistance. He was offered the use of Beit Ichud Hatzalah for the last sheva brachos and he accepted the offer.
The chosson used the sheva brachos to thank everyone involved, especially EMT Yehuda Yoskowitz who treated him and remained with him in the emergency room.
