Trump Wins Republican Presidential Primary In New York

TrumpRepublican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has won the primary in his home state of New York.

Trump was widely expected to beat his rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich in Tuesday’s election. The precise allocation of delegates from the state won’t be determined until the vote results are calculated by congressional district, but Trump is certain to extend his delegate lead and come closer to the 1,237 delegates required to clinch the party’s nomination.

Early results of the exit poll in the state show a large majority of New York Republicans want the next president to be a political outsider.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Trump had amassed 756 delegates, while Cruz had 559 and Kasich had 144.

  1. 147: While Sanders has Jewish ancestry, and is a Jew according to halacha, it probably isn’t correct to call someone a “Yehudi” if he is generations removed from Yiddishkeit. He is not SELF hating, rather he is an American who hates someone who is OTHER than himself, namely “us”.

TrueCommonSense: the same polls that accurately predicted the results in New York, show that it will be “President Hilary Clinton”. The caveat is the Trump might be able to change his positions enough to win broader support (though he has managed to quite alienate Conservative Republicans, Country Club/Establishment Republicans, andNeo-Cons, not to mention Hispanics). To rebuild the “Reagan” coaltion, that wins elections, Trump needs to revise rhetoric suggesting he supports isolationism, nativism, and big government that confiscates private property, while opposing international trade and rule of law.

  2. It boggles my mind how a frum person can vote for this mushchas. Is our chinuch system so broken that a bochur holding his tefilin can tell Dov Hikind with a straight face that he “likes the way Trump acts”?!
I can only conclude that as Residents of the Third World Country called Brooklyn, these people are looking for a strongman not a President. Like residents of Africa, they vote for the guy with the most gold as their quality of life just keeps going down.

  3. I voted for Sanders as he committed to breaking the banks, by Trump is my 2nd choice as he also is committed to breaking NAFTA all anti-worker things, the workers of the world are rising up.
