The Machane Tzioni opposition party is spearheading an initiative to limit a prime minister to two terms in office, following the American example of the presidential system.
According to the Channel 2 News report, opposition leader MK Herzog and his party are working to push legislation that will ensure Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu does not serve another term in office.
Opposition party heads plan to introduce a legislative proposal seeking to impose a two-term limit on an individual’s ability to serve as prime minister, Channel 2 News reported on Saturday. The report adds that while such an effort was shelved back in 2014, today, the bill enjoys the support of Yisrael Beitenu and the Arab Bloc and others are likely to back it too, including the Yesh Atid party.
At present, the coalition holds a one-seat majority in the 120-seat Knesset.

boy, they really hate Bibi. They will do anything to stop him and yet us low life people do like him.
Remember when they instituted direct elections for PM because it suited the government of the day? Even if this passes into law, the next government who needs to will repeal the law.
Bibi and his gang have got to go.
