I’ve seen people walking up to total strangers shopping in stores telling them how overweight they were and that they should lose weight, etc. Try that nowadays in the U.S. So, stop applying American cultural mores to Israelis. All the more so when we recall the Medrash why Iyov was punished with yissurim. Oh yeah, don’t forget that this confrontation took place in Bnei Brak, not in a mall in Tel Aviv!
