King Abdullah II – Jerusalem is a Red Line

tmo1.jpgMeeting with visiting Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero on Friday, Jordan’s King Abdullah II stated Jerusalem is a red line, warning Israel of a continued deterioration in the situation surrounding Har HaBayis.

The king warned of “disastrous repercussions” as the western-educated monarch continues playing his double role, presenting as a moderate, in actuality, Abdullah follows in the footsteps of his father, King Hussein, who did his utmost to remove any and all trace of a Jewish past and present from Har HaBayis, doing so under the guise of yearning for peace and promoting moderate policies. The willingness of Abdullah, and his later father, to live alongside Israel in peace was compelled most of all by the beating the Hashemite Kingdom took in the June 1967 war, when Jordan and its Arab neighbors tried to eradicate the Jewish state.

Abdullah is now calling on the international community, especially the European Union, to ‘prevent’ Israel from implementing changes regarding the status of the Temple Mount, seeking to incite the world community against Israel, well-aware Jerusalem has done absolutely nothing vis-à-vis the Mount, al-Aqsa or any other structure other than respond to unprovoked Arab violence aimed at police and mispalalim at the Kosel below.
