Tefillos took place in the Beit Shemesh Satmar community on Thursday as the condition of Dayan Yehoshua [ben Hinda Leah] Rosenberger took a turn for the worse. The rav, who is a member of the Eida Chareidis Beis Din, was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in a post cardiac arrest state after collapsing on Friday night Simchas Torah.
The rabbonim of the Beit Shemesh community decided to call the tefilla rally due to recent events, including the worsening of the rav’s condition, as well as the petira on the first day of slichos of Bracha Feiga Williger z”l, who left 10 children.
Doctors were concerned on Thursday as the rav’s fever climbed, indicated it was not an optimistic sign, with the medical team explaining the new development eliminates previous hopes of his discharge.
The rav is now scheduled to undergo a procedure to implant a cardiac pacemaker, on Monday, which the doctors hope will address the current cardiac irregularities.
