Amid warnings from the PA (Palestinian Authority) Mufti of Jerusalem and the Jerusalem leader of the Fatah Tanzim surrounding Har Habayis, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon calls for calm.

The PA is without a doubt fueling the fires of dispute ahead of Pesach and what better place than Har Habayis. The Tanzim leader told Israel Radio that “al-Aqsa is our red line”, warning to keep the Jews off of Har Habayis during Pesach, promising “We will not sit by idly while they visit”.

The senior cabinet minister calls on Jews and Muslims alike to maintain law and order and to refrain from acts of provocation in general, including during the yomtov season.

Gedolei Yisrael over the generations and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel prohibit visiting Har Habayis.
