Police were summoned after a Bat Yam butcher chased after the store’s mashgiach with a knife in his hand.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Monday 3 Nissan when the mashgiach pointed out that a piece of meat appeared different, explaining to the owner it cannot be used until he, the mashgiach, can verify its kashrus integrity.
According to Rabbi Rafi Yochai of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel Kashrus Enforcement Unit, “at this point the butcher lost it and simply went crazy, chasing after the mashgiach with a knife in his hand”. Rav Yochai explains the mashgiach was quick to respond B”H, running for his life.
The store has lost its kashrus and police are investigating the incident. The mashgiach was physically unharmed.

The butcher may have wanted to sell the mashgiach’s meat as kosher….

It appears to me that the life of someone else has zero value in your mind. I guess, that in your mind the whole world is considered dead. If you should ever need a favor, service and etc. from someone, you will have to go to his grave and pull him out. There are several Mashgichim who volunteer on Hatzalah . I hope you won’t need Hatzalah.
