Israel Police on Wednesday arrested Ali Abu Sheika, an official associated with the radical Israel Islamic Association.
Police report the arrest is in connection with Islamic incitement to violence and law-breaking by officials in the Islamic association, connecting the suspect to the recent violence on Hay HaBayis that began on erev Yom Kippur and continued through the end of Sukkos.
The leader of the association’s northern branch, Sheikh Raid Salah was arrested and released, but is banned from entering Yerushalayim for 30 days.
