Health Minister Yaakov Litzman was among the notables taking part in the opening of a new Terem emergency room clinic in Modi’in Illit. Also present were the mora d’asra of the city HaGaon HaRav Meir Kessler Shlita, Mayor Yaakov Gutterman, deputy mayors and councilmen, Maccabi HMO officials, Clalit HMO officials and Ichud Hatzalah officials.
Services that will be provided by Terem include but are not limited to treating emergencies as would an emergency room as clinics are equipped with x-ray and imaging apparatus as well as an array of other diagnostic tools. The Modi’in Illit branch is the nation’s 17th branch of the emergency room clinic service. Terem employs 800 professionals around Israel, reporting its teams treat 1 million emergency room visits annually including 300,000 children.
