There is a growing movement seeking to pressure the government to back down from plans to deport of 1,000 children of foreign workers, who are in the country illegally.
Education Minister Gideon Saar is calling for a somewhat compromise approach, not to expel them until the end of the current school year.
Interior Minister Eli Yishai announced that if the prime minister attempts to modify the law to take action to block the expulsions, he can take the entire ministry portfolio as well, sending a clear message that interfering with his decision to oust the illegals will result in a coalition crisis with the Shas party.

The left-wing liberals pull the same garbage in the U.S.- and do it in the SAME way, using innocent children to make these deportations look wrong. EVERY country has immigration rules, and they exist for very good reasons. Isn’t it interesting that the left in the U.S. and the left in Israel, WHO BOTH HATE THEIR COUNTRY AND DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO CRITICIZE AND TEAR IT DOWN, ARE DAVKA IN THE COUNTRIES THESE ILLEGALS WANT TO COME TO!!! I wonder why that is?(hmmm…) The left in Israel clearly wants these foreigners to stay and multiply in order to De-Juda-ize the country, to destroy its Jewish identity and make it totally a secular state. Just as the arabs should get out if they want to live in a moslem state (they have plenty to choose from!) these secularists have PLENTY of secular states to choose from if that is what they seek. Eretz Yisrael L’Am Yisrael!
