Defense Minister Ehud Barak advises to move ahead with caution following this week’s row surrounding Turkey’s refusal to permit the IAF to take part in multinational military exercises. The minister stated that despite the events of this week, we must remember that Turkey is a major factor in our region.

Barak suggested that inflammatory statements be avoided despite Turkey’s position on the multinational military exercise, explaining the relationship between the two countries is far more than superficial and too important to be discarded hastily.
