Ramapo is reportedly settling its case against a yeshiva developer charged with running a pre-school out of a trailer on its Grandview Avenue construction trailer. Deputy Town Attorney Meryl Troodler said today that she couldn’t discuss the settlment’s specifics until the agreement was signed by Mosdos Chofetz Chaim.
She said she expected to go forward and request a trial date with Town Justice Samuel Colman in case the paperwork was not received in “four to five weeks.”
In February, the town cited the developer of a yeshiva with adult student housing for operating without a site plan and a certificate of occupancy. The developer could have faced a $5,000 fine on each of the six counts if found guilty.
