Fire inspectors are now reporting the large blaze in Batei Warsaw in Meah Shearim on Monday, 25 Adar-II, may have been started by an illegal matzah factory. Two people were injured by burns and smoke inhalation, reported in moderate condition in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. In addition, seven apartments were destroyed and a portion of a building collapsed as a result of the fire.
Fire inspectors explain a matzah factory was operating illegally in the building, and using a gas oven. The factory, gas hookup and oven operated without permits. Inspectors on Tuesday morning emphasize the findings are partial and not final.
A city engineer arrived on the scene of the fire a number of hours after it began and issued a closure order for the building. Arrangements were made for the residents of the structure in a city hotel. The relevant city agencies are involved in seeking a solution to their housing problem.
Photos show the building a day after the fire.

poor people have to look for a house during the most busy times
“Findings are partial and not final. . .” And if they were would we be able to print it? So when they are not על אחת כמה וכמה.
It is all because the matzo bakery was not makpid to only take workers with approved kosher cell phones. Non kosher phones are the cause of all ill in the world today.

Naah, it’s the Zionists’ fault. All ills in today’s world are the fault of the Zionists. After all, claims the Natural Karta, Zionists is somehow the biggest danger to Khalik Yisroel today, even though it is mostly illegal in Israel and practically defunct.
