Firemen are still working the blaze that erupted earlier in the Batei Warsaw area of Meah Shearim on Monday afternoon, 25 Adar-II.
According to EMS reports, two persons in their 70s have been treated for smoke inhalation and burns, listed in light-to-moderate condition.
B’chasdei Hashem firemen were able to evacuate people from their apartments as the blaze spread quickly, engulfing areas of the old wooden structure on an unseasonably hot and dry day.
Hadassah Hospital Update: Two victims of the Meah Shearim fire are being treated. They are suffering from burns to their upper body.
A 74-year-old man has 30% burns and a 67-year-old women has 20% burns. The degree of the burns is not included in the Hadassah spokesperson’s report.
