The Pot Calling the Kettle Black

The brazenness of the Arab community represented by PA (Palestinian Authority) leaders may only be compared to the apologetic policies of Israeli leaders. Chief PA negotiator, Dr. Saeb Erekat on Tuesday warned Israel is “playing with matches”, “hoping to light a fire…” sparking increased tensions in Jerusalem.

In the PA’s standard well-calculated political agenda, Erekat and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) do not seek explanations for the renewed Islamic violence aimed at civilians and security officials in Jerusalem alike, but put Israel on the defensive. No excuses are made for the total disregard for law and order, possible injury to innocent people, or disruption of the yomtov week in Jerusalem, but pushing ahead the PA’s statehood agenda overrides all else, including acceptance and legitimacy by Israel.

Israel on the other hand continues with its ‘business as usual’ policies, prohibiting non-Muslims from Har HaBayis instead of throwing the Muslim hoodlums off the Mount. Afraid of the international community’s response and its own self-hating left-wing secularist community, backed in no small measure by the nation’s Supreme Court, our leaders seem hopelessly lost as how to react to the escalating violence in the heart of the Jewish capital.

Jordan has called on Israel to ban all non-Muslims from the Mount, a plea that is echoed by the United States. Abu Mazen is calling on the world Arab community to back its battle over Jerusalem, accusing Israel of trying to overrun Palestinian Jerusalem, while the Prime Minister’s Office and the President’s Office remain silent for the most part.

Far surpassing the embarrassment to the sovereign Jewish state is the chilul Hashem, the need to appease the international political community — even at the expense of Yerushalayim, in this case, by the president who as prime minister signed away Chevron and the prime minister, who in his previous term in office, handed the holy city over to the PA. Chevron’s Jewish community remains a mere several hundred Jews after decades of mesirus nefesh due to successive Jewish government unwilling to give the green light for expanded Jewish construction in the city of Machpelah. Yericho has been turned over to Yishmael, along with Kever Yosef, and Kever Rachel has become an armored fortress open to mispalalim with extreme security restrictions and demands.

One after another, holy sites, Kivrei Avos and other sites have been abandoned in an act of shame and chilul Hashem by Israel, and yet once again, leaders remain silent as the PA sinks its terrorist teeth into Yerushalayim, preparing to fly the flag of terrorism on Har HaBayis as Jews at the Kosel below are compelled to run for cover whenever the Yishmalites above decide to launch another episode of what the mainstream media is already calling the “third intifada”.

Helicopters circle above the Jewish capital without a hiatus in the hope of contributing to the effort below, to prevent terrorism during Chol Hamoed while Arab leaders continue calling on the international community to condemn Israel’s actions in the capital – all the while the Islamic terrorists use Har HaBayis as a platform to incite renewed violence and clashes with Israeli security forces.

PA leaders are undoubtedly capitalizing on the anti-Israel climate that exists in the European community and to some extent in the White House at a time when senior Israeli officials fear entering the UK, where they may be arrested for war crimes.

  1. Hayeenu k’chagaveem b’anaihem, v’ken hayeenu b’ainaiNU! The “b’ainaiNU” is the crime, is the chilul HaSh-m that got us 40 years in the midbar. Will we ever learn? We are Baneem la’Melech! A Melech can NOT be mochail his Kavod, and if we, as baneem la’Melech, act this way, we are being mochail the Kavod of THE MELECH!!! We are the Am HaNivchar! Its time we stood up, acted appropriately, and told that to the world!
