Responding to the release of the video of his captive son, IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, his father Noam stated the video is in no way a indicator of any significant progress or breakthrough in talks or efforts to obtain his release. Mr. Shalit stated he is not “having a picnic” and the situation is quite worrisome, stating he hopes and prays the situation does not continue for a number of years.
