As part of regular annual training and preparedness, firefighters in Beit Shemesh at 9:00AM on Monday morning held a hazardous materials training simulation in the Ivco factory in the northern industrial area. The training event simulated a hazardous substance leak in the factory and the fire department response and containment that followed.

The hazmat team began the process towards determining the origin of the leak and then sealing the damaged barrels.
