B’chasdei Hashem there were no injuries in an early Tuesday morning 12 Adar-II fire in the Migdal Ha’ir Building in downtown Jerusalem, near the old Mashbir on King George Street. The cause of the fire was not released at the time of this report.

As a result of the blaze, firefighters closed off Eliash and King George Streets in the area, resulting in delays for bus commuters.

The fire was declared ‘under control’ by 7:45AM, permitting the reopening of the streets a short time later.
