Defense Minister Ehud Barak has approved an additional 37 housing units in the Shomron community of Karnei Shomron. Seeking to avoid American objections, Defense Ministry officials immediately stated the construction does not constitute a new neighborhood in the community but building in existing areas.
It appears the 37 units is in addition to the 455 building permits recently announced by the Defense Ministry.

Israel has a right to build in Israel like any other country can build in their country. Israel should stop placating, to ANY degree, the idea they have to think twice building. Let the world focus on atrocities in Africa and Arabia.
Giving a drop of water to a person dying of thirst and bragging about your Chessed organization!
There is not nearly enough housing in the country and in the Chareidi communities in particular! Beitar, for example, is stuffed to the gills with people. Apartments are in desperate need. There is an entire waiting list and just a Goirol to decide who will be zocheh to them, How can the Israeli Barack brag about 37 apartments!!!!
