Moshe Cohen celebrated his bar mitzvah on Monday, 4 Adar-II but his father was not present. His dad, Tzvika ben Batya is fighting for his life, still listed in grave condition in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital after being wounded in a terror attack in Maale Adumim. Mr. Cohen, 47, remains sedated on a mechanical respirator.

Moshe put on tefilin and got an aliyah in the Tzur Yisrael Shul in their community. Moshe told participants in his simcha that doctors have begun trying to take his dad of the respirator and bring him out of the medically induced coma. Moshe explained he is aware the process is going to take time and for now, his father is totally unresponsive.
