Stepping up the battle against PA (Palestinian Authority) illegals inside Green Line Israel, legislators are initiating a new bill that targets Israelis who provide them employment in the hope of creating a deterrence against employing illegals. This is one of the responses to the ongoing wave of Palestinian terror attacks inside Green Line Israel as well as throughout Yehuda, Shomron and Gaza.
Pushing the bill is Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan. The bill has passed its first reading in Knesset.
If it is passed into law, one will face a minimum NIS 5,000 fine for a one-time employment of an illegal and NIS 75,000 or two-years imprisonment for one who provides room and board or harbors an illegal. Repeat offenders will be fined NIS 10,000 to NIS 226,000 and up to four-years imprisonment.
