Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the Holocaust was a “myth” as he addressed the annual Quds Day rally in Tehran on Friday, reiterating comments that sparked outrage around the world.
“The very existence of this regime is an insult to the dignity of the people,” the hardliner said referring to arch-foe Israel.
“They (Western powers) launched the myth of the Holocaust. They lied, they put on a show and then they support the Jews.
“If as you claim the Holocaust is true, why can a study not be allowed?” the Iranian president said to chants of “Death to Israel” from the crowd gathered for the annual display of solidarity with the Palestinians.
“The pretext for establishing the Zionist regime is a lie… a lie which relies on an unreliable claim, a mythical claim, and the occupation of Palestine has nothing to do with the Holocaust,” he added.
“This claim is corrupt and the pretext is corrupt.
“This (the Israeli) regime’s days are numbered and it is on its way to collapse. This regime is dying.”
Similar comments made by Ahmadinejad shortly after his first election as president in 2005 also sparked an international outcry.
Then he said Israel was “doomed to be wiped off the map.”

Contadicts himself withing the same sentence… “The pretext (i.e. the Holocaust) for establishing the Zionist regime is a lie… and the occupation of Palestine has nothing to do with the Holocaust”. So which is it, Mr. Achmydinnerjacket? IS the Holocaust the “pretext” (shouldn’t that be “pretense”?) for the “Zionist regime”, OR does it have “nothing to do with the Holocaust” (a Holocaust you say never happened)??? Which is it? This wacko can’t even keep his own nonsensical claims straight!

Look, he is a rosho. I think he could just as easily be smart, sane, and intelligent, and refuse to believe in the Holocaust because he’s a rosho. Why give him the benefit of the doubt. He’s not stupid. He’s not insane. He’s a rosho. As a rosho, he might seriously not believe in the Holocaust. (Althouigh perhaps deep down in their hearts rosho’im know they are wrong.)
I agree, im sure he knows the holocaust is not a myth – its part of his strategy to
a) trash talk in order to get under our skin, and b) repeat a lie enough times with the intent that people start believing him.
