[VIDEO LINK BELOW] Brad Lander, Democratic Nominee for the New York City Council from the 39th District, gave his first interview since winning the Primary Election, to YWN, where he reiterated his commitment to serving the Boro Park community notwithstanding the dismal support that he received in Boro Park—Kensington communities.
In a gracious manner, Brad pledge to fight for the issues high on the priority list of the Orthodox Jewish community and make it his priority as a member of the City Council.
Mr. Lander faces token opposition in the General Election in November and is expected to begin representing his constituents in the New York City Council on January 1, 2010.

Brad did not do dismally in Kensington. He actually won the neighborhood by a large margin and was about even in the frum part. This was due in a large parts to the efforts of Yeruchim Silber who was one of his main supporters and is a well known askan in Kensington.
