Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov explains that one of the major reasons resulting in the Second Lebanon War is Israel lost its power of deterrence, explaining talk is not enough, but we need action to back up the words.
Speaking in Beersheva, the minister, who is a member of Yisrael Beitenu, explained he believes another round of warfare with Lebanon, explaining if Syria and Iran continue to view Lebanon as a puppet government, then Israel must begin addressing the source of the problem, namely Syria.
The minister used the forum to express his opposition to last week’s inclusion of Shas leader Minister Eli Yishai to the Mini Cabinet, which now numbers seven ministers. He also criticized the nation’s judicial system, which has been “persecuting” the party’s leader, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, for 13 years, concluding that even if a criminal indictment is handed down against him, Lieberman will continue as the head of the party.
