According to an Israel Radio poll, despite growing criticism from the right-wing, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has a reason to smile, at least according to the pollsters. The prime minister is showing a 65% acceptance rate among eligible voters, with only 25% expressing outright disapproval.
On the party level Likud is showing 32 seats as compared to Kadima, down to 24 and Yisrael Beitenu, 13, as is Labor. Shas shows 10 seats and Yahadut HaTorah 6, followed by Meretz with 4, Bayit HaYehudi 4, and Ichud HaLeumi with 3. The poll gives opposition leader Tzipi Livni, who heads Kadima, a 47% rating with 33% give her a negative rating. Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who heads the Labor Party, comes in with a 60% rating, with 31% of voters expressing disapproval.
Regarding calls to halt construction throughout Yehuda and Shomron, there is a small majority in favor, 44.7% in favor and 38% opposed.
