Israel Radio Reshet Bet Correspondent Gal Berger released a report on Tuesday, 21 Adar-I, that the PA (Palestinian Authority) continues incitement in its education system, including glorification of shahids; terrorists killed during the perpetration of attacks against innocent Israeli targets.

Speaking with Reshet Bet, Minister of Science (Likud) Ofir Akunis explained the government is well-aware of the ongoing PA incitement and how children are raised to hate Israel and its citizens. He stated it has been this way since the establishment of the PA in 1994 by Yasser Arafat YS”VZ.

Reshet Bet:

What is your government doing about it? If you are aware of this, why is nothing being done?

Akunis:

We are aware and in the past Israel has targeted PA media to stop incitement but this does continue in their schools and we are taking the steps available to us.

According to Berger’s report, the PA curriculum includes denial of the Holocaust and the murder of 6 million kedoshim HY”D. He adds that he evaluated some 70 text books used in elementary, junior high and high schools in the PA.

Another example given by Berger is ninth grade students are taught to glorify a Shahid, for he heads directly to Allah, and becoming a shahid cleanses one of all of one’s sins and assures one a prominent place in Gan Eden.
