At Wednesday afternoon sheva brachos hosted by Deputy Education Minister R’ Meir Porush in Jerusalem’s Givat Shaul neighborhood, for his daughter and son-in-law, a host of celebrities can be found entering and leaving.
President Shimon Peres was on hand, praising the generations of the Porush family, which remains an ardent advocate on behalf of Yerushalayim. He added “Ata Tov U’Mevasser Tov”, making a play on Porush’s HaMevaser daily, which he launched following the negative media during his failed Jerusalem mayoral campaign. The president rhetorically questioned why it took so long for the paper to become a reality.
By all accounts, the new chareidi Hebrew daily has taken a lion’s share of the market, and provided a forum for Porush and his followers.

I live in Brooklyn and try to get this paper every Friday.
The news is truly objective.
The feature articles are diverse and intelligent.
I wish they would print in English so the rest of my family could also enjoy it.
