Following tenacious ongoing efforts to protect the sanctity of shabbos, HaMevaser reports the actions are beginning to bear fruit, with some of the branches of AM:PM closing their doors on shabbos.
The opening of the stores led Gedolei Yisrael Shlita to begin addressing the alarming trend, leading to a boycott of businesses affiliated with the AM:PM chain. The report adds that in recent months, behind the scenes operations by askanim and rabbonim have lead the AM:PM management to slowly begin closing branches on shabbos. It now appears the owners of the stores plan to actually sell some of the branches to a shomer shabbos chain.
Unfortunately, as news of agreement becomes public, there are already reports from those who are pained over kedushas shabbos, accusing the AM:PM franchise of “giving in” to chareidi pressure, rather than see the benefit of reaching an agreement that will ultimately be mutually beneficial.

Note, this is only for Israel, the USA stores wont close.
I’m not addressing the boycott but I don’t think that the vast majority of secular Israelis are at all “pained over kedushas shabbos”.
They just don’t understand its significance, and don’t want their lives to be made less comfortable.
Efforts to inform of the benefits of Shemiras Shabbos would be wonderful.
And for that some of us Chareidim would be wellserved to find our more about the benefits of Shemiras Shabbos, rather than doing it robotically.
There actaully never was a ban of shefa shuk over here it was suggested by most rabbanim but signed only by few
